We always want the best experience for all our customers and that includes our Underage Users. With this, we would like them to also enjoy the benefits of having an upgraded account.
This article would help us understand the customer journey through the PalawanPay app in upgrading an account for underage or minor, non-Filipino users.
IMPORTANT NOTE🖊️
- The basic account for minors can only receive money and do payment to merchant transactions (pay bills, QR Payment, and Buy Load). They won't be able to Cash-out and initiate money transfers to another PalawanPay account or to other Financial Institutions (via InstaPay).
- For minors 13-17 years of age, the parents or legal guardians must provide authorization or consent for the creation of their PalawanPay account as they would have to take full responsibility over it, as indicated on our terms.
- To upgrade your account, the email address associated to your PalawanPay account must be verified. If not, the app will guide you on how to verify your email address. It's quick and easy!
- You will be asked to upload the following requirements for verifying your account:
✅Passport
✅School ID - When uploading, you may use your phone's camera to take photos of the documents/IDs. You may also upload saved photos from your phone gallery.
Kindly ensure that the photos are clear and the details are legible. - Dahil ikaw ay isang non-Filipino minor, you also need to upload the following documents:
✅Parent's Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR)
✅Parent's Passport
✅Signed Letter of Parent's Consent - Your account upgrade will be reviewed. You will receive push, in-app and email notification with the outcome of your request whether it is successful or if we need more documents from you.
